Wyoming tips calculator: a $5.15 law and federal rules
Wyoming levies no individual income tax, and its own minimum wage statute still says $5.15 — so any employer covered by the FLSA pays the federal $7.25, with $2.13 in cash for tipped staff.
When state law is lower than federal
The federal tipped-wage table notes Wyoming’s $5.15 minimum and the overriding federal rate for FLSA-covered employers. The tip credit is the federal $5.12, and the employer must top up any week in which cash wages plus tips fall below $7.25. A worker counts as tipped above $30 a month in tips.
